WIPO Report - Technology on the Move
On 17 February 2026, WIPO published the report "Technology on the Move".
The report highlights that the value of innovation lies not only in the creation of new technologies, but above all in their ability to reach the market and generate economic and social impact.
According to the report, intellectual property plays an increasingly strategic role, not only as a mechanism for protecting innovation, but also as a key enabler of technology transfer, collaboration, and competitiveness.
The report further emphasizes that countries and organizations capable of accelerating the diffusion of innovation will be better positioned to address the economic and technological challenges of the future.

European fund for SME's - 2026
On February 02, 2026, the European Union has launched a new support fund to help small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) based in the European Union to access and benefit from their intellectual property (IP) rights.
Open to all companies in the EU that fit the official definition os SME,the new program offers financial support for trademark, patent, and design/model registration applications, allowing SMEs to obtain partial refunds of official fees.

World Intellectual Property Day
World Intellectual Property Day, known as "world IP" or "WIP-Day", was celebrated once again on 26 April 2025, with the aim of spreading the word about the enormous importance of intellectual property for the creation and vitality of art, as well as for technological development.
This date celebrates the contribution of creators, inventors and entrepreneurs who create, innovate and develop contributions that promote the progress of humanity.
To mark and promote this day, awareness-raising activities are held to raise awareness of the importance of intellectual property in the context of protecting knowledge and economic development.
